State of My Sewing Room - After

Well, that went pretty good. Yesterday I shared my messy room and today is the result of my cleaning. The biggest benefit is that I now have all my projects in order so I can focus on getting them done.

There are more binding projects than I thought I had. I found two more than I thought were there. Those crazy piles were hiding a lot.

I also decided to limit the number of in-progress projects laying around. Right now there are a few more due to the pillows and quilts that need binding. Once those are completed, I plan to have only the design wall quilt set up to be worked on. Ok, maybe the design wall and one UFO...but no more than that! One of my goals for 2021 is to only work on one quilting project at a time. We’ll see how it goes.

In the meantime, the fabrics for my next project are on the cutting table. I still need to buy the background and backing fabric. My plan is to get a cream Kona fabric for the background. I'm excited to start this one.

For now, I’m enjoying my cleaned up room and the new organization. Next up…Pillow finishing!!

Have you organized your sewing space lately?
